Becky Smolinski
My philosophy centers around a non-judgmental, person-centered approach. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve their therapeutic goals, ensuring that they feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the process.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the Ohio State University, and am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). My areas of expertise include working with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, depression, personality disorders, and providing family therapy and couples counseling.

My therapeutic approach is diverse and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, utilizing EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. This range of techniques allows me to address various challenges and support my clients effectively.

I have been a part of Mares Cares for four years, where I've had the privilege of helping many individuals and families. My office hours are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and I am also available for remote sessions as needed to accommodate your schedule.

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, whether it’s tending to my garden or going on adventures. I am very musical and creative, and I find joy in connecting with new people—it's rare that I ever meet a stranger. Helping others and hearing their stories is something I cherish deeply.

If you're seeking a compassionate and experienced counselor to support you, I'm here to help! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
