Kennedy Riegel
Hello! My name is Kennedy Riegel, and I am a Licensed Social Worker at Mares Cares Counseling, serving clients at both our Mt. Logan and Arch Street locations. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Ohio University Chillicothe and have been a licensed social worker since 2021. With six years of experience in the social work field, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and families as they navigate mental health challenges and work toward meaningful personal growth. My experience includes working with children and adolescents ages 5–18, helping them develop the skills and confidence to better manage life's challenges.
My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and behavioral challenges. I also enjoy helping children and adolescents develop stronger social and communication skills. My therapeutic approach is supportive and person-centered, allowing me to use the methods and strategies that best meet the unique needs of each individual, child, and family.
I believe everyone's voice matters, and everyone deserves the opportunity to tell their story to someone who genuinely cares about their well-being and mental health. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where my clients feel heard, valued, and understood.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, photography, attending concerts, singing, practicing yoga, dancing, and, most importantly, spending time with my family. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you along your journey!
