At A Glance & In The News
Mares Cares Counseling has been a part of the Chillicothe community for more than twelve years. In 2023, we received the three-year certification as a community behavioral health center (CBHC) from the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH), previously known as the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS). In 2025, we received national accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA) and we are the only organization in Chillicothe and the surrounding region with this amazing accomplishment! We are also a proud member of the Ohio Council of Behavioral Health & Family Services Providers.
We serve clients from 27 different counties including, but not limited to, Ross County, Pike County, Fayette County, Pickaway County, Scioto County, and Highland County.
