We are seeking a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) to join our small but dedicated mental health agency. The LISW-S will provide clinical supervision to up to 8 counselors, guiding their professional development, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, and supporting high-quality service delivery. Additionally, the LISW-S will maintain their own active caseload, delivering direct therapy services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision:
Provide clinical supervision to a team of up to 8 counselors, including regular one-on-one sessions, case consultations, and performance evaluations.
Ensure supervisees adhere to ethical and professional standards, as well as agency policies and procedures.
Assist supervisees in developing treatment plans, setting goals, and addressing challenging cases.
Facilitate group supervision meetings to encourage peer learning and support.
Monitor and document the progress and professional development of each supervisee, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
Stay informed of best practices and current trends in clinical supervision and mental health treatment.
Clinical Services:
Manage a caseload of clients, providing individual, group, and/or family therapy as appropriate.
Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care providers, and case managers, to coordinate care for clients.
Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices.
Uphold the agency’s mission to provide compassionate, client-centered care.
Qualifications:
Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio.
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting.
Previous experience providing clinical supervision to counselors or social workers.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and interventions.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a small or community-based mental health agency.
Specialized training or certification in a specific therapeutic modality (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
