Maggie Lambert

I graduated from Ohio University with a Master’s in Counselor Education and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I started my journey with Mares Cares as an intern years ago during graduate school and loved it so much that I stayed on full-time! It's been a fulfilling experience to be part of this wonderful community.

With a focus on anxiety and depression, I bring both professional and personal experience to my practice, allowing me to deeply empathize with my clients and walk alongside them on their journey to managing their symptoms. I also work with adolescents navigating trauma and behavioral concerns and challenges, and I provide family therapy to support healing and growth within the home.

My therapeutic approach centers around cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which emphasizes the importance of talking through experiences and reactions. I believe that the more you talk, the more you can understand why certain things are occurring and why you are reacting the way you are, paving the way for effective management of your symptoms.

It's best to reach out for my specific availability, although I am typically in the office Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM. I offer in-person sessions at 382 Arch Street while also providing virtual sessions via FaceTime, voice call, or text, depending on the client’s age.

My philosophy is centered on providing a safe environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe this approach allows them to become the best version of themselves.

Outside of work, I'm a proud native of Pike County and have grown up in this general area my whole life. I'm a big family person so I enjoy spending a lot of time with them. As an animal lover, I have one dog and four cats. I enjoy playing board games and being outdoors, and my favorite place to be is the beach, where I try to visit as often as possible.

I'm looking forward to meeting you or your child and supporting you both! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

Mares Cares is an incredible group of counselors and individuals who truly do care about the mental health and well-being of others!...They are flexible and very understanding and always keep us as parents in the loop. Our kids have been using their services for over three years, and my husband and I also have benefited greatly over the last year from receiving couples counseling and trauma/grief focused sessions. I trust them completely and appreciate how they are always available and offer so much valuable support. They’ve truly become like family to us...I don’t know what our family would do without the help that Mares Cares provides. Such an outstanding team of people and a more than welcoming and comfortable environment!"
